Can You Get A Full Sleeve Tattoo In One Session
Olivia Luz
Well the main reason tattoo artists dont do a whole sleeve in one session is because it takes a long time to do and that would take alot out of the tattoo artist another reason is because its hard.
If you want a sleeve there s a few things you need to know. Sleeves hurt because you have to be under the needle for hours per session and you have to come back for several sessions over the course of a few weeks. Yes for sure it can be done if it is not too big or too complex. 10 hours seems a bit on the low side for a full sleeve but i suppose it s possible for just the outline and starting shading.
You see a full sleeve takes quite a bit of time and can in some cases take over a year if you can only sit in the tattoo chair for an hour or two at a time. On average a black and grey sleeve will take about 12 16 hours give or take most artists wont want to do more than a 3 4 hour session so for a full sleeve you looking at going in 4 5 times for some good work and you cant go in on 4 consecutive days you have to take at least 1 2 week breaks inbetween so it will take you at least a month or two to get a sleeve. Plan your artist ask around find someone who sees your vision or can tattoo the way you like. It s time to get one of these timepiece tattoos.
2 of my tattoos are done in one sitting each. You don t get a tattoo you earn one. In my case i opted to do one 12 8pm session in the chair each month yes i m crazy so that i could get it done quicker than it would normally take. It s no good going to the cheapest artist if they aren t capable of doing the tattoo you want.
