Sometimes what appear to be dark circles under your eyes may merely be shadows cast by puffy eyelids or hollows under your eyes that develop as a normal part of aging.
Dark circles under the eyes are usually caused by being tired. Some of the more common causes of dark circles under the eyes include. This can make the reddish blue blood vessels under your eyes. When you age you tend to lose fat and collagen and your skin often thins.
Many people have an appearance of dark circles on the lower eyelids and they have many different causes. The area under the eyes can appear darker due to constricted blood vessels causing hyperpigmentation or from thinning of the skin around the eyes. Dark rings under the eyes are worsened by general fatigue especially lack of sleep. Poor sleep may cause dark circles under the eyes.
When your body is not receiving the proper amount of water the skin beneath your eyes begins to look dull and your eyes look sunken. Dark circles under the eyes can appear in childhood and are often an inherited trait. Another cause of dark circles is the natural aging process.
