Why Do My Eyes Water When I Sing

The tears of the eye come from the tear gland called the lacrimal gland which is located above the outer eye.
That is maybe the main reason why your eye come out tears when singing. Soak a clean washcloth in warm water then hold it on your eye for about 10 to 15 minutes three to five. An operation can usually cure a blocked tear duct. When you sing you intake alot more air into your lungs than you regularly would it s like when you breathe in cold air that causes your eyes to water too.
Tears are composed of water oil and antibodies. Once you sing there is the nasal vibration which may indirectly cause the increase of tear excretion. Maybe your throat gets too dry when you sing and it makes your eyes tear up. A blocked tear duct is the most common cause but there are a number of other causes.
Nasolacrimal ducts are small tubes that stretch from the eye into the nose. Don t worry you re not a freak it. You may not need treatment if symptoms are mild. I think the problem is blocked tear ducts you have channels that usually divert the naturally occurring stream of tears when massaged by your general face movements if these channels are blocked that is why the tears are overflowing and cause your eyes to well up.

What may be happening is that when you sing you may have the sound focused to your nasal cavity and the vibrations would then make your face tingle. This is how tears which normally are created at the rate needed to keep the eye lubricated can drain away from your eye. A chalazion is a usually painless swollen bump on your eyelid from a clogged oil gland.
