I know from experience that they will be a bit gooey gluey. The good news is you don t need to dip them in hot oil. Authentic enchiladas are never made with flour tortillas only corn. Corn tortillas are more versatile than flour tortillas you can fry them crisp as chips or tacos or just warm them a bit for enchiladas.
So purists would not call them enchiladas if you use flour tortillas. Remove coated tortilla shell from sauce setting flat into an 11 x 7 x 1 1 2 baking dish grab you a spoon and start filling your tortilla shells with beef mixture about one spoonful per tortilla roll and place into backing dish. Flour tortillas have a soft texture and a mild flavor and typically measure 6 to 12 inches or more wide. The short answer is yes you can use flour tortillas instead of corn to make enchiladas.
Both of those however are really more us inventions than true mexican food. So yes enchiladas with flour tortillas. If you have any remaining ground beef sprinkle it over the top of the rolled enchiladas. Don t ask me how i know that.
