Why Is The Process Of Mitosis Important In Cell Division
Camila Farah
Multiplication of cells or cell division is an asexual and continuous process.
Mitosis is the process responsible for regeneration and repair. In mitosis the important thing to remember is that the daughter cells each have the same chromosomes and dna as the parent cell. Some single celled organisms use a type of mitosis as their only form of reproduction. When the cell division process is complete two daughter cells with identical genetic material are produced.
In fact two categories that define something as living or not are growth and reproduction both of which cell division accomplishes. If a cell becomes too big and does not divide it becomes incapable of performing the function that it is supposed to thus becoming useless. What are the three main reasons why cell division is important. In humans when a sperm fertilizes an egg cell a cell called a zygote is formed.
Mitosis is important because some organisms do not sexually reproduce. Without mitosis we would not have many of these types of organisms. Mitosis is a type of cellular division where the cell divides into two equal halves. Cell division serves as a means of reproduction in unicellular organisms through binary fission.

Reproductive cells like eggs are not somatic cells. The number of cells within an organism increases by this process and this is the basis of growth in multicellular organisms. Cell division also called mitosis occurs in all living things. Mitosis happens when a parent cell divides creating two identical copies referred to as daughter cells.
The daughter cells are genetically identical because they each contain the same diploid chromosome complement as the. This is enabled by a process called mitosis. Cells can grow old and wear off or they can get bruised and injured but eventually they repair and regenerate. Mitosis is the phase of the cell cycle where chromosomes in the nucleus are evenly divided between two cells.
The cytoplasm of the cell then divides in two to produce two daughter cells. Mitosis helps in cell growth and development. Another importance is growth. Mitosis is important because it is essential for growth and repair in the body.
