You may find yourself wanting to go swimming but your pool might be cloudy. Is it safe to swim in cloudy water. You can swim but at your own risk. So much could lead to cloudy water.
Ask owner about the chemicals and if none added recently then the pool needs chlorine. If there have been a lot of swimmers then probably other people s oil and possibly urine. No sane person will want to jump into a pool filled with cloudy pool water more so when the water resembles a big bowl of milk. So is it safe to swim in a cloudy pool.
This type of water is not only scary but there s a possibility that it might be damaging the pool as well as its circulation system. You may feel skin irritation or allergy. It can be unattractive and it should be addressed but it is mostly safe to swim in cloudy water. Always use highly accurate pool testing kits.

If that isn t reason enough to avoid a cloudy pool these four other reasons are sure to convince you. The cdc report states that if a pool is cloudy or has a strong chlorine smell avoid it because it could spread water borne diseases. If left untreated for long it may also start breeding dangerous bacteria. Your water won t turn cloudy simply because your ph level is outside of this range but it will prevent your pool chemicals from doing their job properly causing particles to linger which will eventually lead to a cloudy pool.
May have too much chemical or it may need chlorine. Swimming in cloudy water can cause skin or eye irritation depending on the cause of cloudy water. Having water that doesn t have enough calcium can also be an issue. However there are times that cloudy pool water especially can indicate a condition in which you will want to avoid swimming in your pool until it is remedied.
It s safe but not the cleanist. No it is not safe. When the water is too soft surfaces can wear down or corrode more easily shortening the lifespan of the swimming pool. If you can t see the bottom of the pool struggling swimmers will also be hard to spot making the risk of drowning much higher.
