Many of them are rooted in the fact that harry didn t believe personally that anyone should ever use the resurrection stone which as the name entails is able to bring people back to life.
Hey everyone welcome to another installment of harry potter theory. Harry did not die because in the fourth book. They are the reason ariana died and now they were the reason for his oncoming death in hbp. Calling people back from death didn t work properly and just caused problems but it also meant no one could unite the hallows.
With the elder wand s loyalty to harry the cloak in his possession he only needed the resurrection stone to be the master of death which would allow him to come back once voldemort killed harry. After a motivational speech he let go of the specters and went to meet voldemort. There are some interesting fan theories as to why harry drops the resurrection stone. This specter however is very real and it retains the personality of the person the user would like to bring back.
As for harry surviving when voldemort killed him in the forst he actually killed the part of voldemort s soul that was in harry this lead to him getting a choice whether to go back or not. He wished for an item that would enable him to bring back the dead so death took a stone from the riverbank and used his abilities to transform it into the resurrection stone. With that said harry did use the ressurection stone in order to communicate with james lilly sirius and lupin. It only brings people in their ghost spirit like form from the dead they will go back eventually.
