Why Do Mormons Have A Lot Of Kids
Camila Farah
So the more children mormons have the more of those spirit children will get to be raised right and have a chance at their own planet after death.
This is really a very personal matter between the married couple and god and the church does not preach how many children a mormon family should have. So why do mormons on average choose to have larger families. Mormons try to listen to what god wants for their family and not what they want. Mormons often have larger families because they are commanded to be fruitful and multiply in scripture.
Actually i have a folder full of comments by church leaders stating that if the wife is in good health there are no serious genetic risks and as long as the parents are able to provide the necessities of life then the birth of children should not be prevented the current comments policy by current church leaders regarding birth control is that it should be made a matter of earnest prayer. In a very small number of mormon families they have lots of children because of polygamy. If god wants them to have more kids then they ll do it or they should do it. We also believe that all of god s children need to obtain a body to progress.
Mormons tend to have a lot of children because family is a big part of the mormon belief. In essence the church teaches that we are to multiply and replenish the earth and also to exercise reason and judgment in determining the number of children we would like to have in our families. We believe that we lived as spirit children of our heavenly father before we came to earth. Especially by modern societies standard japan germany taiwan hong kong all have negative population growth 1 kids per family.
