Getting knocked out of ketosis is problematic for three reasons. You have to get yourself back into ketosis. This is probably the most obvious reason not to take a cheat day on keto. You spend so much time and effort to turn your body into a crazy fat burning state.

This one day is your cheat day and comes once a week. Cheating on keto means that you are going over your carbohydrate limit for the day and are stopping your body from producing ketones to then use as fuel to burn fat. If you cheat just remember that you have to start all over again especially on keto. If your primary goal is to lose weight cheating on your keto diet from time to time is not going to destroy your progress.
Consuming too many carbs can kick your body out of ketosis and it takes several days to 1 week to get back into it. Can you have a cheat day on the keto diet. Yes you can but it may come with consequences. That takes me about 3 days.

You worked hard to get into ketosis and one cheat day can knock you right out of it. Having cheat days can prevent your body continuing this process long enough to stay in ketosis.
